Local firefighters, police officers and first responders are joining our Holiday Heroes campaign, helping to save lives during the most critical time of year for blood donations.
The holidays are generally a time when fewer people give blood, but the need for blood remains constant. ConnectLife is the primary provider of blood products for Kaleida Health, ECMC, and hospitals in Niagara and Wyoming counties. All blood donated through ConnectLife remains in Western New York for local patients in need.
The Holiday Heroes campaign is also a great opportunity to recognize and honor those who have received the gift of life, acknowledge those who have helped save lives in the line of duty, and raise awareness for the thousands of people who are currently waiting for the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
