Josh Pendergast tells us why he donates:

I am a regular donor at the Team Unyts blood drives with the Bills, Sabres, Bandits, Bisons and One Buffalo. I started donating blood when I was in high school at John F Kennedy High School and have continued to give ever since for the past eight to nine years! As a Team Unyts donor I have had the opportunity to earn points and special designations, and have ultimate fan experiences like meeting Bills legends Thurman Thomas and Gabe Northern, and Sabres legends as well! The real reason I donate though is to make a difference in someone else’s life, and to potentially even save someone’s life.
I am a Christian who puts his Faith in Jesus Christ. I regularly attend the Chapel at Crosspoint/Cheektowaga Campuses. I know that prayer is powerful and if someone is sick or in need of prayer I will be praying for them even though I don't know them. I serve God with everything I have and understand that I am here to serve others as well as my savior Jesus Christ. I have this scripture reference in mind every time I do to donate blood- And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them- Luke 6:31
I know others donate blood to save lives, and I hope that if I were ever in a situation where I needed blood that others in the community would feel as passionately as I do about giving back. I make an effort to always put others before myself. I understand that there is a constant need for blood, and I want to help to ensure that there is an adequate supply in hospitals! Hope my story impactful and can encourage others to donate. God bless!
