Paul W. Bearss
As told by Brittany Bearss, Paul’s oldest daughter

My father, Paul, was a very hard-working family man. He worked many jobs to provide for his wife, mother, and 3 daughters. His favorite past time was going to the beach and swimming, playing badminton, or frisbee. He loved all children and was a type of community father, where all of my sisters' friends referred to him as a second father who always looked out for them. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, whether that be a night out for dinner, at home playing a card game or watching a movie.

I want people to know that although my father's passing was sudden and traumatic, being an organ donor was one of his life goals. Through Unyts, we were able to let him rest in peace knowing that his wishes were granted.
My family and I honor Paul's memory by lighting sparklers together and then watching his favorite movies. Both of which, were enjoyed by Paul.

My father's donation was an extremely unique and at time difficult process. In the end, his donation has given us a type of closure in the sense that despite the circumstances my father got to help other people, as he always did and as he always wanted to do.
