Ali Gerlach was the model of success. As a senior in high school, she was an athlete. She excelled at softball as the left fielder for the Amherst Lightning, was a star volleyball player for the WNY Mizuno Storm, and excelled in bowling as a member of the Williamsville South squad.

She was a scholar, preparing for her career at Roberts Wesleyan College with the hope to someday work in the food industry. Ali was loved by everyone that met her. She has two sisters and a brother, and she now has two nieces and a nephew. Her oldest niece is named after her and carries her spirit each and every day.

Her family began Ali’s Rally, a foundation giving back to the community and working with high schools across WNY to promote and spread awareness of the importance of organ, eye, and tissue donation. Ali’s Rally brought the entire Gerlach family together and helped them build a true dedication to the Unyts’ mission.

Since its inception, the Gerlach family has helped raise $335,000 for Unyts! They have supported Unyts for over 12 years now and will continue to for years to come.
