Catherine (Kaydie) Albers

Story as told by her aunt, Lori Cybulski

catherinealbers2.jpgKaydie was the heart of our family. She loved everyone and made sure it was known. Her smile and laugh made everyone around her smile. She loved the trees and flowers and would do amazing crafts with them. Kaydie had a passion for hearts.  She took pictures of everything that were shaped like hearts.  So of course when we see hearts we think of her! We see them in water spots, clouds, all sorts of things and of course we think of our Kaydie.

It was Kaydie’s wish before she died that she donate everything she possibly could to help people. We didn’t think it would be something she would do so soon.  We had 35 wonderful years with her, and will never forget her. She loved sunflowers, and now every time I see one we think of her incredible smile. Knowing Kaydie was getting her wish to help others helped us.

catherinealbers3.jpgKaydie’s mother is still having a very difficult time dealing with this loss, but is hopeful that one day she will hear from a recipient whose life Katie helped to save. Other people are alive because of this wonderful girl who we loved so much!
