Last year, ConnectLife called on our community for help funding a new blood donation bus. With help from the community and New York State - we have raised about $100,000 so far, but we have $400,000 to go. Can you help?
Without our blood donation buses, we would not be able to supply over 75% of the blood needed at our local hospitals.
Since 2022, ConnectLife has held almost 600 mobile bus blood drives, collecting over 9,200 units of blood.
That's over 27,000 lives saved and impacted through blood donation.
Why is a blood donation bus essential to continuing ConnectLife's work as WNY's only community blood bank? A few reasons!
Helps to meet the needs of our local patients in local hospitals, especially during a blood shortage.
Inspires new donors by traveling to new neighborhoods, businesses, and rural communities.
Spreads awareness about the importance of donating.
Prevents the need for canceling drives due to maintenance issues related to the age, wear, and tear of our current buses.
