Honoring Our Heroes... Amber Carey

Story as told by Amber's sister, Stacy

ree

Amber was my only and younger sister. She was in high school when she passed away. Amber was a good artist and loved to draw and write stories. Some of her favorite things to do were listen to music, take walks, and she loved all animals.

Amber and I celebrate our birthday on the same day just ten years apart. To honor Amber's memory our family comes together at the Donate Life Walk ever year. We always take big family pictures with all of the grandkids for gramma and always have our picture with Amber to include in the family picture.

What I want people to know about Amber is that she lived and loved to help others. I want people to know it was sudden when we lost Amber and how much she is still missed every day.

Amber's death has changed mine and my parents' lives forever. The loss of Amber will never be forgotten.
