Story as told by Shane's mother, Mindy
My son Shane is now known as the fishing king. He had a deep passion for fishing and fished year round. When he wasn't at work he was either out on the lake or at the river doing what he loved.
Shane had a huge heart and always helped others in need. He was wild and crazy and so much fun! He was a very outgoing and loving person always helping others however he could. I don't think Shane knew just how many people his life impacted.

Shane was due to go to college for aquaculture and aquatic science, so he could have a career doing what he loved and so he could teach other about fishing.
Shane was killed in a car accident on the way to his graduation party. He was more concerned about his two friends that were in the truck than himself. Both of his friends survived with minor injuries. For this he is my hero.
As of now, our family does not know what Shane was able to donate. Myself and his step mother have co-founded the Shane Pinard Future Fishermen’s Foundation to get kids more involved with fishing. Shane had spoken about wanting to start a fishing program after college so in his honor we are doing just that.
